Burglary and house-breaking
Burglary policy is a supplementary cover to a fire policy. It can be issued only on the basis of a fire policy. Insured property is protected with burglary and house-breaking coverage from SICL.

- Claim form duly filled, sealed and signed (and by the bank if necessary)
- Loss intimation letter
- GD entry / FIR copy
- Policy copy and premium receipt
- Proposal form
- Departmental inspection report (large factory if necessary)
- Fire brigade report if necessary
- Police investigation report if FIR is required
- Meteorological report (flood & cyclone)
- VTR / CCTV for large factories
- Periodic electrical test report
- Maintenance engineer’s report
- Stock register and bank-certified stock statement if needed
- Purchase documents of damaged property
- Estimate of repair/replacement with three quotations
- Detail claim bill with values
- Valid electrical / BERC papers where applicable
- Any other documents if needed
